Research Officer (2 positions)

SALARY: $63,213 - $67,429 (HEW 4, PRO-RATA)
MOUNT LAWLEY CAMPUS
FULL OR PART TIME (MINIMUM 18.75 HOURS PER WEEK)
FIXED TERM CONTRACT UNTIL 30th JUNE 2019

Australian Indigenous HealthInfoNet, is dedicated to contributing to closing the gap in in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health outcomes by making research and other knowledge readily accessible, mostly via the Internet. The Centre is seeking two Research Officers to join the research team. 

The Research Officer role includes: supporting content development for the HealthInfoNet’s websites; writing abstracts; contributing to content maintenance and the HealthInfoNet’s social media presence; and providing good customer service to stakeholders. 

Key capabilities required for this role are:

1. Diploma level qualifications in a health related discipline, communications or similar, or an equivalent level of experience 
2. Excellent communication, teamwork and organisational skills
3. Well-developed computer literacy and online search skills, including use of Microsoft Office and search engines
4. Experience writing, editing and proofreading as well as using and developing social media content.

Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people are particularly encouraged to apply.

You will also demonstrate personal attributes that are congruent with the University’s values of Integrity, Respect, Rational Inquiry and Personal Excellence.

Benefits & Remuneration

These fixed term contract positions, to 30 June 2019, can be between 0.5 FTE to 1.0 FTE and they attract remuneration of $63,213 to $67,429 pro-rata plus 9.5% University superannuation contribution.
